[REVIEW] WSL - Unilever beats Sollys / Osasco and ends the turn unbeaten

In a typical sunny day of summer in Rio, an audience of more than 7,500 people attended the Gymnasium on to watch the victory of Unilever (RJ) on Sollys / Osasco (SP) by 3 sets to 1 (23/25, 25 / 18, 25/19 and 25/15) in Rio de Janeiro (RJ). In addition of volleyball enthusiasts, fans proved to be solidary. In this SATURDAY (01/29) were collected 11 tons of products. As the team of Unilever will double the amount collected, 33 tonnes of supplies will be donated to victims of natural disasters in the mountainous region of Rio de Janeiro. The match, from the last round of the Ladies Superleague 10/11 turn, was part of the "Round of Solidarity" of the Brazilian Volleyball Confederation.

Unilever ended the first turn in the lead of the competition unbeaten with 32 points. The Cariocas will debut in the re-turn against Macaé / Sports (RJ), next Thursday (03/02) at 19h, in the gym of Tijuca, in Rio de Janeiro (RJ). Already the Sollys / Osasco end its participation in the turn, on Tuesday (01/02) against the Pinheiros / Mackenzie (SP), 19h30, at José Liberatti gym, in Osasco (SP). The match will be broadcast live by the channel SPORTV.

[REVIEW] MSL - Sada Cruzeiro dominates Vôlei Futuro

The Minas team keeps the vice leadership of the competition
This FRIDAY (01/29), the Sada Cruzeiro (MG) kept the vice leadership of the Superleague Men 10/11, beating Vôlei Futuro by 3 sets to 0 (29/27, 25/26 and 25/19) in 1h30m, at the gym Plácido Rocha in Araçatuba (SP). The match ended the second round of return of the competition and was part of "Round the Solidarity of the Brazilian Volleyball Confederation.

In the third round Vôlei Futuro faces Vivo / Minas, 18h, this Sunday (12/30), at the gym Plácido Rocha in Araçatuba (SP). Sada Cruzeiro travel to Campinas (SP) to play with the Medley / Campinas (SP) also on Sunday at 17h in the gym Taquaral.

[REVIEW] WSL - Unilever wins duel with Pinheiros / Mackenzie and is the only unbeaten

Superliga: Unilever maintains unbeaten record
It took five sets and a lot of emotion in this THURSDAY (27/01) in Maracanãzinho Gymnasium in Rio de Janeiro, to reveal the last unbeaten team in the Superleague Women's Volleyball 10/11. After 2h24m, better for Unilever (RJ), which defeated Pinheiros / Mackenzie (SP) by 3 sets to 2 (25/20, 20/25, 27/25, 25/27 and 15/10), broke the invincibility of the rival and established itself as the only team still unbeaten after the 10th round of the first turn of the competition.

During the game were collected six tonnes of water and food donated by the 2,500 fans who attended the Maracanazinho match, destinated to flood victims in the mountainous region of the Rio de Janeiro. The donation will be routed through the State Department of Sport and Recreation.

With the victory, the 10th in the 10/11 edition of Superliga, the team of the Rio de Janeiro sum 20 points and now leads the standings. The Pinheiros / Mackenzie has 17 points, same as Usiminas / Minas (MG), Sollys / Osasco (SP) and Vôlei Futuro (SP).

In the next SATURDAY (29.01), the Rio team will try to maintain their unbeaten run in front of the Sollys / Osasco, in a match scheduled for 17h in the Maracanãzinho Gymnasium. The match will be broadcast live by the channel Sportv. On the same day and time, the Pinheiros / Mackenzie will measure forces with the Macaé Sports, in the Municipal gym, Macaé (RJ).

[PREVIEW] WSL - Duel of unbeaten

The two setters of the Brazilian team will face each other
Unilever (RJ) and Pinheiros / Mackenzie (SP) are the last two unbeaten teams in the Superleague Women 10/11. And this THURSDAY (27.01), the two teams will face each other at 18:30 at the gym Maracanazinho in Rio de Janeiro (RJ). The match, which is valid for the tenth round of the turn, will be broadcast live from the channel Sportv and in the Fanblog's Ustream Channel. 

Admission to the duel will be, beside the ticketsthe donation of two pounds of non-perishable food or two liters of water for the victims of floods in the state of Rio de Janeiro.

The confrontation between the two teams is full of attractions. The two setters vying for the position holder in the national team will be on opposite sides. Side of the Pinheiros / Mackenzie, Fabiola, who was the holder of the conquest of the world's runner-up in Japan in 2010. By the side of Unilever, Dani Lins, owner of the position in the yellow green team at the start of last season.

In a very contested game, the Vivo / Minas (MG), passed by Medley / Campinas (SP), Tuesday (25/01) by 3 sets to 2 (22/25, 26/24, 16/25, 25 / 20 and 15/12)  in gymnasium Taquaral in Campinas (SP). The match was valid for the second round of the Superleague Men return 10/11.



The result kept the Vivo / Minas among the eight best teams in the tournament. The Mineiros took the sixth place with 24 points - eight wins and eight defeats. Medley / Campinas is in 10th place with 22 points - six wins and 10 negative results.

[REVIEW] MSL - Sesi-SP overcomes Pinheiros / SKY at the end of 1st round of the return

SESI keeps the lead with a win over Pinheiros.


The expected duel between the Pinheiros / SKY and Sesi-SP, ended with victory of the best campaign team in the Superleague Men's 10/11. The team from Vila Leopoldina overcame Pinheiros / SKY this MONDAY (24/01) by 3 sets to 1 (25/22, 21/25, 25/20 and 25/20) at the gym Henrique Villaboin In São Paulo (SP). In the third set of the match, Olympic champion Giba suffered a sprained left ankle and had to leave the game.

With the result, SESI-SP maintained its leadership of the tournament with 31 points and just one defeat. The Pinheiros / SKY is in fourth place with 25 points and five negative results.


The match started well balanced. but after two consecutive blocks of middle blocker Sidão, Sesi-Sp advantage was four points 7 / 3. With the setter Sandro using balls speed of central Thiago Barth and Sidão effectively, Sesi-Sp clinched the set in an attack from the opposite, Wallace, on 25/22.

The Pinheiros / SKY came back better in the second set, and a yellow card for the libero Serginho (punished for dissent) opened 4 / 0. In a touch the net of Murilo, the advantage of the home team went into four points 16/12. Sesi-Sp committed many errors, and Pinheiros / Sky clinched the set on 25/21 tying the game.
 

The beginning of the third set began with a sad event. The outside hitter Giba, triple world champion, injured his left ankle in a fall, after the attempted block on your mate of National Team Murilo. Giba was replaced by the outside hitter Reffatti. Even without the Olympic champion, who was the leading scorer with 11 points in the clash, Pinheiros / Sky kept the game balanced, until three consecutive errors - two invasions by the setter Murilo, and a lifting mistake of middle hitter Silêncio-, Sesi-Sp opened 15/12. The team from Vila Leopoldina kept the lead until the end, and closed the set on 25/20. 

The fourth set was marked by many mistakes of both teams. When serving better and counting on a good performance of central Thiago Barth, SESI-SP clinched the set on 25/20 and the match in 3 sets to 1.

The next clash of Pinheiros / Sky in the competition will be on Thursday (27/01), 20h30 against the BMG / São Bernardo (SP), in the gym Adib Moyses Dib, São Paulo (SP). Sesi-SP will face the BMG / São Bernardo, on Saturday (1.29) at 18h, in the gym Vila Leopoldina in São Paulo (SP).
